SOZO PRAYER MINISTRY 12/7/2011

Tonight was the second service in the SOZO series, conducted by Pastor Gwen Badolato.

“SOZO” IS A GREEK word used hundreds of times in the New Testament, which means salvation, healing, and deliverance. God wants you to be whole in spirit, soul, and body. Sozo will be a powerful time of teaching and ministry to learn the truth that will set  you free. Sozo Ministry is a powerful way to remove the deception, sin and emotional pain connected with sickness and disease in your mind, emotions and body. There is COMPLETE freedom available for every area of your life and for others.

This week, Pastor Gwen spoke more in depth about how we can use this very special Ministry to be saved, healed, and and delivered - COMPLETELY! Pastor explained that many people that have been saved are not necessarily delivered, because as we may be delivered in the  our soul, we are not delivered in the physical body since most of us have things that keep us bound to the enemy (Demons/Demonic things and influences). A very important point in her sermon tonight was that we cannot let Satan to enter into our lives by giving him a foot-hold in any way. When we engage in certain activities such as anger, jealousy, unforgiveness, the occult (witchcraft, the New Age, Sorcery, sexual perversion,  etc…) we give Satan a way in. GOD WANTS US TO BE FREE! We may be bound up with something that has afflicted us from back in the womb, and the Sermon/SOZO given by Pastor Gwen tonight is beginning to touch in how we can recognize these things in our lives so that we can be set free.

I look forward to the rest of this series, as I feel it will work powerful things in the lives in everyone who attends. Come join us every Wednesday night @7 p.m. until January 25th, 2012, at East Gate Christian Fellowship, Salem, MA 01970. www.theeastgate.org

OUR FAMILY AND FRIEND DAY SERVICE!

Once a month, on the first Sunday, East Gate holds a very special service for Family and Friends Day. The doors are open to everyone, and for those who attend service regularly, they are encouraged to invite other family and their friends to attend service and fellowship afterwards with a wonderful meal. This month we had a Holiday Theme for our meal, with turkey, lasagna, stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, and all the other fixings. Family and Friend Day is a great opportunity each month to enjoy a meal together, and feed any new comers spiritually and physically by fellow-shipping praying, and sharing in the Word.

The actual service today had a very powerful message given by Pastor Lou Badolato. It revolved around assembling as a Church and how important it is to be committed to attending service regularly. Pastor Lou explained how we all need to be firmly planted in the Church, which I totally agree with. He went on to explain how when we are absent from service, our empty seat asks many questions. We all have many reasons to debate whether or not we should go to Church each week, and Pastor went on to explain that our first and most important joy and priority should be going to the House of the Lord - that we should wake and rejoice on the days when we can come to His house to Worship. This is a very important message, because as the Pastor also explained, the state of affairs in our country is in such shambles and we need the Church to get us back in track. The family unit, our marriages, and our children are crumbling down because only a very small percentage of families in this country even attend Church regularly. There is something to say about the correlation between the small numbers of people who attend Church Service on a regular basis and the state of affairs today. As Pastor said, we should be an exclamation point in the Church, firmly planted and claim our seat, and not leave our seat empty to ask questions in our absence.

The service today was so very powerful. The power of the Holy Spirit was definitely with, and speaking through, Pastor Lou, in turn making a real difference to the all of the parishioners an changing lives with His message. I know that I will be an exclamation point, and never a question mark, always claiming my seat in the Church and keeping it filled.

Please come by a to experience the miracle at our services, Wednesday Nights @7 p.m. and on Sunday @10 a.m. The next Family and Friend Day is Sunday January 1st, so come and join us and start the New Year off on the right foot - in the House of the Lord.
